Doucet offers a single, evolving six-course tasting menu at $155 per guest. This is a focused, immersive dining experience that reflects Cape Breton’s land, sea, and culture — from native grains and wild herbs to cold-water seafood and seasonal produce grown nearby.
Our menu is built around what the region gives us, often changing week to week. You’ll taste nods to Acadian tradition and the island’s diverse terrain, expressed through ingredient-first cooking and preservation techniques. We ask that all dietary restrictions be disclosed at least 48 hours in advance, as our menu is tightly woven and we prepare in advance with intention and care.
Seating is communal — two handcrafted tables, each welcoming 12 guests — designed to encourage connection and a shared sense of discovery.
A limited but thoughtful wine list focuses on low-intervention bottles that pair beautifully with our food and philosophy. We also offer a selection of non-alcoholic options made in-house.
Doucet is not à la carte, not rushed, and not conventional —
