An absolutely fantastic experience. The food was complex, elevated and thoughtful. The service was warm and attentive and pacing was perfect for a 7 course tasting menu. Exquisite and unpretentious.

Absolutely incredible experience at Table Doucet. The food was delicious and beautiful—truly farm-to-table and unlike anything I’ve had before. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was outstanding. It felt like a Michelin-star meal right here in Cape Breton. The wine pairing was a perfect addition to each artistically presented plate. Highly recommend!

Table Doucet has brought me my favourite dining experience on Cape Breton Island. Even from the scenic drive up to Cheticamp, I was in such a good mood. The setting is truly so special. It feels authentic to Cape Breton, yet elevated to world class fine dining. I should mention, I have several dietary restrictions, and the team was passionately aware and provided with my own personalized tasting menu. I felt safe to relax and dive in. No detail was left undone be it the choice of cutlery, custom ceramic plates, pine sent in the bathroom, vintage Cape Breton magazines, locally made quilts and Nova Scotian music. The friendliness and professionalism of the staff made me feel comfortable and valued. The snow crab, sourdough bread, and lamb were my favourite courses, but my gals and have a saying, "NO BAD BITES" and this was certainly the case. When I tell you the entirety of the meal had a sunset set view..... I can't wait to return again in a few weeks. This is a must visit when you come to Cape Breton.

This experience was extraordinary. The plates were incredibly complex, imaginative, fresh, fun and so delicious. Cam (Chef “ Three star Michelin restaurant trained”), Andrew “ Front of restaurant and wine sommelier” and Jake ‘ Sous chef’ are offering us something special and unique. In my humble opinion, this is truly is a ‘worlds best’ type dining experience. go now before they get too famous.

Table Doucet is a bold, brand-new culinary concept that completely surpassed our expectations. We were treated to an extraordinary 8-course tasting menu that spoke to our senses in ways we’ve never experienced before. Each course was a thoughtful combination of flavors and texture; unexpected, artfully presented, and deeply satisfying.

The passion of the team behind this test kitchen is undeniable. From the moment we walked in, their excitement about the future of the restaurant was infectious. Every dish told a foraging story, and it was clear they are crafting something truly special here.

We were there to celebrate an anniversary with friends, and the evening felt both intimate and unforgettable. The setting, the service, and above all, the food made for a fantastic night. We can't wait to see how this place evolves. Highly, highly recommend for anyone seeking a unique and inspiring dining experience. Good luck Andrew, Cam and Jake!!

Everything was perfect. The sunset was an absolute bonus. Beautiful space, stunning food, balanced cocktails, and of course delicious wine. I wish they were in my town so that we could eat there way more frequently. Well done team, you knocked it out of the park. 🙏🏼

Fine dining at its best set in a rustic barn filled with Cape Breton charm. Every detail of the evening is carefully thought out from the plate presentation right down to the musical playlist . Sommelier Andrew McDow nailed every drink recommendation within our nine course meal. It’s difficult to pick a favorite dish as each one stood out unlike anything I’ve ever had . I will say , it was easily the best prepared Lobster to ever hit my pallet . Thanks to Chef Cam Armstrong and the entire staff for an unforgettable night of Food and Drink . Already looking forward the next visit . World class.
